Today we will teach you another very useful question sentence structure that you can use in a variety of situations, and that is to make a statement and ask for confirmation, like this "You are a teacher, right?"
In the Thai language there are no words that correspond exactly with the words "yes" and "no" in English.
Instead, to answer a question you just repeat the verb/adjective in the question sentence.
If you're not sure how to use this structure, please leave a comment below and we'll help out.
Now, get out there and start asking Thai people about everything around you. Have fun!
châi = that's right ; that's correct.
châi mái = ...right? ; is that correct?
mâi châi = No, that's not correct.
