Koh Lanta has several beaches stretching from Saladan in the north to the national park in the south. This photo is taken around 150 meters away from the school, at Pra Ae (Long) Beach. You can also see Pra Ae Beach in our first Thai Lesson video.
Pra Ae Beach has many resorts and bars and it's a perfect place for a relaxed dinner. A great thing about Koh Lanta is that the main road is quite far away from the beach so you won't get disturbed by cars or motorbikes when you're eating or swimming.
If you don't like beaches with tourists (it's never crowded here but anyway) there are more secluded beaches in the south of the island. Just rent a motorbike and go south and you'll find a private spot for yourself.
This is some of our lovely students and staff making roses to give to their friends and loved ones on Valentine's Day. Most students at our school study full time which means five lessons per day, five days per week, so we spend a lot of time together. It's great to get to know people from other countries and to see how they go from not knowing any Thai, to speaking more and more fluently as the months pass by. We hope that all of you had a great Valentine's Day and we're sending you a lot of love from Koh Lanta! ( ^_^)
